Artist Helen Zarin was born in Shiraz, Iran in 1970. She began painting at the age of five, and studied with well known Persian artist Keyvan Saber during high school. Zarin's relationship with Saber was critical to her development as an artist. He helped her refine her skills and pushed her to create her own unique style.
